We believe that everyone deserves a reason to smile. Yet, millions of people go without basic dental care because of cost or a lack of nearby dentists. This leads to serious problems. Untreated dental issues not only cause severe pain, make it hard to eat, and can keep people from going to school or work, but they also have a significant impact on overall health, adding to the already challenging circumstances many families face.
That is why we partner with the Smiles for Everyone Foundation to provide free dental care services to people who need it most.
The Impact of Your Help
The foundation works both locally and around the world. Over the years, the organization has delivered more than 205,000 free smiles and improved the lives of more than 923,000 people globally.
Your generous donations pay for essential medical supplies and local dental clinics. Because dental professionals volunteer their time, the cost to treat a patient is remarkably low. In fact, it costs only about $4.48 to deliver care to one person.
Real Stories of Lives Changed
The foundation sends teams to communities with little or no access to dental care, even when travel and local conditions are challenging.
- Kimberli’s First Visit: In Central America, many families live on less than $2 a day, making dental care impossible to afford. The foundation met Kimberli, a 42-year-old woman who had never seen a dentist. She arrived suffering from constant dental pain and left with relief, renewed confidence, and a restored smile.
- Keeping a Promise in Thailand: After severe flooding delayed a mobile dental clinic by six months, a young boy at a local children’s home patiently waited for care. When the volunteer team finally arrived, they treated him and 15 other children, proving that while challenges may delay care, promises are always worth keeping.
- Caring for Neighbors: In addition to international missions, the foundation hosts Community Smile Projects across the United States. These events provide free cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other essential dental services for people in need right in our own communities.
